Gone are the days when cooking was considered a woman’s duty, particularly in a typical African setting.
But as the world has evolved and development has stretched towards Africa, it is gradually becoming a collective responsibility among both males and females.
The belief that a “woman’s place is in the kitchen” is now dormant as men are rubbing shoulders with their wives in culinary.
The “housewives” ideology has disintegrated, and women, together with their husbands, whether working class or entrepreneurs, are working assiduously to make ends meet for their families.
Interestingly, amidst the advancement, some people refuse to help, assuming that only poor men support their wives in the kitchen, with their excuse being that such men cannot provide for the family and are mostly idle.
But how factual is this belief?
Well, the Bald, Muscled, Pot Bellied, and Skinny (BMPS) guys are all geared up to discuss the issue from the men's perspective to help us know whether it is a fact or a myth.
You might probably be wondering what the guys have to say about the matter. Identified for his opposing views, what does Skinny Poxieble have to say? “I help my girlfriend cook, but I’m not a poor boy."
Catch further explanations on Poxieble’s stance and the thoughts of the other guys this Friday, November 3, at 9 p.m. on Joy Prime as Kofi Hayford moderates them in the defence of their stance.
