The Over the Counter Medicine Sellers Association (OTCMSA) has made a generous donation to aid the victims of the flooding incident caused by the spillage of the Akosombo Dam.

The Association, represented by its National Executives, handed over 400 packs of bottled water and an undisclosed amount of money to the Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Letsa, for onward distribution to victims of the unfortunate disaster.

The National President of OTCMSA, Alhaji Hassan Carboo expressed empathy for the victims and indicated that the donation aims to address their immediate concerns.

He indicated that the association will return with additional support to show its commitment to helping the affected individuals and families during this challenging time.

He said "our hearts go out to the people who have been confronted with this unprecedented crisis. As members of the OTCMSA, we understand the importance of coming together during difficult times. We hope that our humble contribution can provide some relief to those in need."

The Volta Regional Minister, Archibald Yao Letsa expressed his gratitude to the Association for their kind and timely contribution.

He recognized the significance of such community-driven initiatives and how they make a substantial difference in the lives of the victims and encouraged other organizations and individuals to follow this example of generosity.

He said “this is a challenging period for the victims, and the support from the Over the Counter Medicine Sellers Association is genuinely appreciated. We believe that together, as a community, we can work towards recovery and restoration.”
