The Ghana Medical Association (GMA) has actively participated as one of the key stakeholders providing crucial assistance to the victims affected by the devastating flooding in the Lower Volta Basin.
The GMA has been at the forefront of the relief efforts, dispatching its dedicated members to deliver essential medical support to those affected by the spillage of the Akosombo and Kpong dams.
Among the areas where they have been operational is the temporary shelter established in Mepe, where numerous residents have sought refuge after their homes were submerged by the torrential floodwaters.
The GMA's intervention aims to address the health and medical needs of the affected residents, ensuring that they receive the necessary care during this challenging period.
Capturing these efforts on the ground is photojournalist Samuel Moore, who has been documenting the relief work and the resilience of the affected communities.
