On Wednesday, October 18, Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia visited parts of the Volta Region affected by flooding.
Many of the residents of about eight districts along the Lower Volta basin have been displaced due to the spillage of the Akosombo and Kong dams.
While on the tour, Dr Bawumia expressed his profound sympathy to the victims of the disaster which evacuated several households in the Volta Region and some parts of Eastern and Greater Accra Regions.
