The Special Prosecutor has stated that his office has not retreated from their efforts to request the Chief Justice to change the judge presiding over the case involving former Sanitation Minister, Cecilia Dapaah.
On October 12, the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) accused the judge of showing prejudice against the institution.
Consequently, the Office requested Gertrude Torkornoo to either have the judge recuse himself or remove him from all cases pending before him.
During the proceedings today, on October 18, the presiding judge, Justice Edward Twum, announced the purported withdrawal of the matter by the OSP.
