Counselor and Minister of the Gospel, Daniel Annan has advised all men to stop focusing more on marrying women with only attractive posture. The must rather consider the beautiful souls, character, and nature.
According to him, nowadays most men only focus on the physical beauty of a woman, forgetting that it is not enough to sustain a relationship or marriage. Marriage is a beautiful union, but it takes a lot of patience and trust. Focusing on only beauty is not enough to maintain peace and growth in the relationship, he counseled.
Speaking to Noella Kharyne Yalley on Prime Morning Thursday, the counselor explained that although it is good to marry a physically attractive woman, the beauty is bound to fade as the years go by. That is why he is advising men to focus more on forming a healthy relationship with a woman who has a beautiful soul, character, and nature, as it guarantees healthy growth and longevity in marriage.
“I always encourage men to marry beautiful women. When I say beautiful woman, people always look at the physical soul. Marry a beautiful soul first, a beautiful character, and a beautiful soul. Being beautiful is not about being worldly. It’s about knowing yourself and what fits you,” he said.
The counselor also mentioned that marrying a woman willing to always lend a helping hand in every situation is also key to a successful marriage.
Most often, women have the mindset of leaving difficult situations to their boyfriends or husbands because they are the head of the family.
This tends to put pressure on the men and, in the worst case, create a wedge in the marriage. A woman willing to help her husband in all circumstances is willing to nurture and foster a peaceful marriage with him.
The counselor also admonished both men and women to stay away from people they can’t trust, as it is a very dangerous route to take when it comes to marriage. According to him, the glue that binds and holds a relationship is trust.
Without trust, a marriage or any relationship is bound to face many challenges. So until a woman and man find trust in each other, venturing into marriage is a bad and unhealthy decision.
“Don’t marry somebody you cannot trust. It’s a no-go area. Don’t ever think that when you marry the person, he or she will change. The reason many marriages are facing many challenges is because of this. Always check whether your partner is trustworthy before venturing into marriage,” he advised.
Counsellor Annan further advised that women also pay attention to the type of men they choose to spend the rest of their lives with. According to him, until a man adds value to a lady’s life, marriage shouldn’t be in the picture.
Having a partner who shares equal dreams and is ready to put in all it takes to achieve them is very important. Hence, marrying men who have little to no plan for their future is a problem that can become burdensome as the years go by.
