Kumasi: A couple in dispute over the paternity of their last child now have their peace - while the husband has been proven cannot be the biological father of the child, wife now claims she remembers having an affair with a certain man whom she says must be responsible but does not know his whereabouts.
This verdict comes after the wife, Afia Amoawaa had insisted her husband, Agya Peter, was the only father of the child.
The couple had featured on Nhyira FM’s Obra Show during which Agya Peter was accused by his wife of making love with her at the backyard of their house resulting in the pregnancy and subsequent birth, however, he had refused to bear responsibility.
But the man insisted on the show that he was not responsible for Amoawaa's last child, emphasising that his wife had set out to disgrace him.
Host of the programme, Mama Effe and the Obra team opted to sponsor a DNA test to bring peace between husband and wife and to put the matter to rest. And when the DNA was conducted, the report concluded that Agya Peter is not the biological father of the child.
Afia Amoawaa, who was asked to disclose the man responsible for the child, said she remembers having had an affair with a man but could not locate him, claiming she did that because Agya Peter was maltreating her and so she wanted to distance herself from him.
Agya Peter said he was satisfied seeing that the whole world has seen that he is a truthful person.
