‘Celeb Biz’ will unveil the hidden passions and entrepreneurial endeavours of celebrities, spanning the worlds of acting, music, sports, politics, comedy and social media influence.
Through exclusive interviews and intimate insights, ‘Celeb Biz’ will reveal what motivates and inspires these celebrities in their various ventures and viewers will witness the steps they take to succeed and gain a deeper understanding of the innovation required to run successful side businesses.
Host of the show, Amelley Djosu (popularly known as Saminiwaa in the entertainment circles) is a creative producer and on-air personality with the Joy Brands of the Multimedia Group, whose multifaceted abilities effortlessly transcend various fields, driven by an undying passion for the creative arts.
Asked about what inspired her to come up with this self-produced initiative, she stated, “the stories about Jay-Z, Tyler Perry, Oprah, Rihanna, Don Jazzy and many other global celebrities who ventured into areas like merchandising, fashion, beauty, record labels, production companies or even technology start-ups and succeeded are such an inspiration. Quite a number of our stars in Ghana especially are also running other businesses besides their claim to fame but very little is known about that aspect of their lives. It’s about time that story gets told. We must celebrate our own for their ability to combine their artistic talent with savvy business acumen. Their success in both fields is impressive and demonstrates their versatility and entrepreneurial spirit.”
Debuting on the September, 23, 2023; ‘Celeb Biz’ will air every Saturday at 5pm on Joy Prime and Sundays at 9pm on JoyNews with a repeat airing on Thursdays at 10 pm. You can also catch the excitement on Facebook and YouTube via the Joy Prime and JoyNews pages.
