Ghanaian boxer, Seth Gyimah, popularly known as Freezy MacBones, visited his humble hometown for the first time in a very long time.
The UK-based Ghanaian was mobbed by ecstatic members of his native community as joyous scenes unfolded at the sight of their son.
Macbones paid a visited to the mud house he lived in during his formative years in a village near Kumasi.
Freezy MacBones has indicated in earlier interviews that his village did not have access to potable water and was not connected to the national electricity grid.
Standing before a mud house, the boxer jumped and hit his leg against the wall of the house he used to live in.
The boxer recounted a time when there was no electricity and access to fresh water was considered a luxury he could not afford.
He described having to trek several miles to fetch water from a nearby river.
“Yesterday I visited the place I was born and grew up. It was amazing, it was emotional and exciting.
“The feelings were different. Thanks for all the support and prayers for yesterday.
“Let’s make history. Let’s win together. Feels good to be home.”
He is currently in Ghana preparing with the Black Bombers to be participate in a qualifying tournament for the 2024 Olympic Games.
