The Director of Research and Elections of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Evans Nimako, says they will undertake convincing campaign strategies and win the upcoming general election in 2024.
This, he said the party will do after its internal election.
According to him, the party will "draw the balance sheet" between the party's elected flagbearer and John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mr Nimako expressed confidence that the party will produce and sponsor a candidate who will be the next president.
"I'll once again assure you and your viewers that the NPP is ready to do the needful to conduct, a campaign towards to 2024 election and come out victorious. After our internal election, we'll draw the balance sheet," he said.
Mr Nimako said the party is aware of the challenges facing the country but the said challenges are not peculiar to Ghana.
According to him, the party will do everything possible to support the efforts of the government in ensuring economic stability.
"The party is aware of that, the government is aware of that. That's why we will put our support behind the government to develop programmes that will take us from the challenges we are going through. At the end of the day, we must make life meaningful for all Ghanaians," he added.
He also expressed optimism that the negative narratives about the economy will change for the better through the NPP's support for government initiatives ahead of the election. This, he said will convince the people.
The NPP are readying themselves for their supra delegates conference in September to elect a Flagbearer for the party.
