Residents of Mepe were delighted when MTN yet again made some donations in support of the Afenorto festival which is celebrated annually.
Some residents said MTN's continuous support of the development in Mepe is laudable and appreciated.
Kwasi Osei Hyeaman, who works with MTN, lauded the efforts of the Mepe Development Association and the traditional council for collaborating with the people to implement developmental projects.
"On this occasion, MTN would like to salute Torgbe Kwasi Nego VI, Manklolo of Mepe Traditional Area and the Mepe Development Association for collaborating with the people to implement developmental projects to enhance livelihoods in his Traditional area.
"This is the evidence of true leadership, a value cherished by MTN," he said.
He noted that the support forms part of MTN's quest to delight their customers, make their lives much better, and appreciate their continuous support.
Mr Hyeaman said, "We are here to support the chiefs and people of Mepe Traditional Area as they celebrate the Afenorto festival. This forms part of our quest to delight our customers and make their lives much brighter."
"We are happy to be connected to the festival because the Mepe Afenorto Festival is celebrated to foster togetherness and a strong bond with extended families within the Traditional Area and outside," he said.
He noted that at the core of their business is connecting families, friends and businesses through their services.
Mr Hyeaman stated that, "We believe festivals project a lot about the African society and are considered an integral part of the development of our communities.
"The commercial activities tied to these celebrations improve the economic conditions of the celebrating communities."
"This is why we have donated cash of GH¢10,000, airtime worth GH¢1,000, drinks, hampers and T-shirts," he said.
