Absa Ghana is gearing up to host its highly anticipated annual Inspire Me Conference 2023, bringing together women business entrepreneurs from across the African continent.
The conference, a key component of Absa's women banking proposition, aims to support and empower women-owned businesses with value-added financial solutions to drive sustainable growth.
At the forefront of this year's Inspire Me conference is the accomplished Nigerian business entrepreneur, Ibukun Awosika, Chair of The Chair Centre Group. Awosika's inspiring journey and success in the business world make her a fitting keynote speaker for the event.
Absa Ghana has long been committed to supporting women-led businesses, offering affordable financial solutions, and equipping them with the necessary skills and resources for success.
Recently, in collaboration with Mastercard Foundation, the bank introduced an SME Loan of up to GHS1 million at a favourable interest rate of 10% for enterprises, including women-owned businesses, without the need for collateral.
Abena Osei-Poku, Managing Director of Absa Bank Ghana, emphasized the significance of recognising the potential of women-led businesses.
She stated, "Women entrepreneurs are driving economic growth, fostering innovation, creating employment opportunities, and championing social change. They are the engines of progress, and their impact is felt far and wide."
The Inspire Me Conference will welcome a prestigious line-up of successful entrepreneurs, government representatives, regulators, Absa’s senior executives and managing directors from Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, and other key stakeholders, including Absa Ghana Board Chair Frances Adu-Mante.
The event will feature five separate panel discussions covering various topics aligned with the main theme of “Empowering Women’s Economic Growth Together.”
Notable personalities participating in the conference include Alhassan Andani, former CEO of Stanbic Bank; Hon. Dokua Asiamah-Adjei, Deputy Trade Minister, Yofi Grant, CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Center (GIPC); David Ofosu Dorte, Managing Partner at AB & David Law, Dr. Afua Asabea Asare, CEO of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority, and Jemima Oware, Registrar of Companies.
Mastercard Foundation, AngloGold Ashanti, Vodafone Business, International Trade Center and SheTrades are the official partners for the conference.
The Inspire Me Conference 2023 is set to be a dynamic platform for networking, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration, fostering an environment that empowers women entrepreneurs to thrive in their respective industries.
