Four Senior High Schools in the Ashanti Region have qualified to the semi-final stage of the Luv Fm High School debate.
All 4 schools secured slots after putting up an impressive performance at the quarterfinal stage of the competition.
The “Nananom” from Asanteman SHS, booked a seat after eliminating first-timers, Osei Kyeretwie SHS in a neck-wracking contest.
Prempeh College stunned the judges with an adroit performance against Kumasi Wesly Girls to nail their seat.
The “Presecans” from Bompata also secured a slot after knocking out Oppong Memorial SHS in a fierce contest.
At the end of the quarterfinal stage, winners of the maiden edition, T.I Amass, Kumasi, annihilated defending champions, Kumasi High School to book a place at the semi-finals.
The stakes are high for the four schools going into the contest to step into the grand finale.
The first contest in the semi-finals between the “Phobians” of T.I Amass and Presec Bompata SHS will be on Monday, July 10, 2023 on the motion “Chiefs should be blamed solely for illegal Mining (Galamsey) in Ghana”.
The second contest between Prempeh College and Asanteman SHS will be on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 on the motion “Morality is more on the decline in this generation than the older generation”.
All 4 schools are expected to sparkle the auditorium of the Christian Service University College with an astounding performance as they seek to book a seat for the final stage of the competition on Friday, July 14.
