President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku, believes the implementation of the Women's Football Strategy will be a foundation that will see the structured development of the women's game in the country.
The GFA on Tuesday, July 4, launched the Women's Football Strategy at the Alisa Hotel as they continue efforts to improve women's football in Ghana.
The strategy is set to be implemented this year and will run until 2026 as communicated by the Ghana Football Association.
Speaking at the launch of the project, Kurt, revealed the targets of the new initiative and what it seeks to achieve by the end of 2026.
"The strategy for women's football offers a structured development. A national strategy provides a framework for the structured development of women's football, outlining clear goals, objectives and action plans to enhance the sport's growth at all levels," he said.

It ensures that women and girls have equal opportunities to participate in football, receive proper training and access resources and support including addressing gender disparities in the sport."
He adds that individuals will also have the opportunity to identify and nurture talents from the grassroots level.
"It offers the opportunity for talent identification and development. A well-defined national strategy for women, undoubtedly will help identify and nurture talented female footballers from the grassroots level up to the top of the football ecosystem.
