The Ghana Football Association has launched the Women’s Football Strategy for the development of the game in the country.
The launching of the project happened at the Alisa Hotel on Tuesday, July 4.
The Women’s Football Strategy, following its launch, seeks to focus on grassroots football development, talent identification, national teams, education, sponsorship and a host of others.
The idea is also to see to the growth of women’s football in the coaching as well as infrastructure development.
The strategy is set to be implemented this year and will run until 2026 as communicated by the Ghana Football Association.

Present at the launch of the Women’s Football Strategy were the executive members of the GFA, national team coaches and representatives of the various Women’s Premier League clubs.
The General Secretary of the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana, Anthony Baffoe.
The President of the GFA, Kurt Okraku, added that all women’s league clubs will be given copies of the Women’s Football Strategy book to aid in its implementation.
