Nigerian musician Ayo Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, believes that being a father to him is the biggest blessing in the world.
In an interview with the host of the Afrobeats Podcast, Shopsydoo, the ‘Essense’ hitmaker explained having kids has fueled his growth adding it is enough motivation to keep going in life.
Wizkid stated that he is blessed to have the love of his kids and family.
“‘It [being a father] has changed me a lot. I am grown; lots of love in my heart fuels me to keep going, that is the drive, the only drive to keep me going.
"My family, my kids, I just feel blessed to be their father, take care of them, God put me in that position, it is the biggest blessing in the world, being able to recreate,” he noted.
Wizkid has four children and he shares two with his current partner Jada Pollock.
Meanwhile, speaking on his music noted that he has some new music for his fans which is expected to be released in the coming week.
He explained that as an artiste he is immersed in his work, always trying to elevate his music and satisfy his fans.
“I sleep, breathe, eat, sh*t music. I’m always trying to elevate my craft from my sound, my videos, my productions, everything to a whole new level,’’ he said.
