A Belgian TikToker took content creation to the next level in a stunt involving faking his own death.
David Baerten, known as Ragnar le Fou, surprised his family at his funeral after staging his death. The social media star arrived in a helicopter as his loved ones hugged him and cried, relieved to see the 45-year-old.
The creator told his wife about the plan and asked for help to pull it off successfully.
One of his daughters helped lead his followers and loved ones to believe he was gone, writing, "Rest in peace, Daddy. I will never stop thinking about you. Why is life so unfair? Why you? You were going to be a grandfather, and you still had your whole life ahead of you. I love you! We love you! We will never forget you."
According to England's The Times newspaper, the reason behind his actions was due to witnessing his family's "fractured" state.

"What I see in my family often hurts me. I never get invited to anything. Nobody sees me. We all grew apart. I felt unappreciated. That’s why I wanted to give them a life lesson, and show them that you shouldn’t wait until someone is dead to meet up with them," he said, according to the outlet.
Baertron posted a video for his 165,000 followers showing himself making a grand entrance arriving, saying, "Cheers to you all, welcome to my funeral."

He commented on the fact he did not see all of his family present. "Only half of my family came to the funeral," he said. "That proves who really cares about me. Those who didn't come, did contact me to meet up. So in a way, I did win."
The controversial video was criticized by some as a cold-hearted joke.
One user wrote, "Damn, I could never put my family through that." Another penned, "I unsubscribed from this pure asshole... it's a shame to do that I hope karma will take care of him..."
