The third edition of the Baby Jet U-16 football tournament kicked off on Tuesday, June 6, at Cape Coast Stadium.
The Asamoah Gyan Foundation’s annual trademark event, which provides a stage for young people to display their potential, has a new twist this year with several African clubs also invited to stand an opportunity of producing Africa's next big star.
Kofi Kinaata's Team Move FC, Young Generation, Ebony FC and Vision Babies FC were all in action on the opening day of the tournament.
Speaking after the opening ceremony, Sammy Anim Addo, said: "I am very excited about the commencement of the tournament, the tournament is huge, but we know what we are doing, and we are going to transform lives and impact the next generation."
"The joy on the faces of these kids will marvel you, and we hope all goes well. The scouting process has started, and we hope to give these young children an opportunity of a lifetime where everyone will benefit."
