Ghana international Tariq Lamptey says he enjoys time with the Black Stars and looks forward to achieving his objectives with the national team.
According to him, he didn't struggle to settle with the other players due to how friendly and open everyone is while the staff has also had a role to play.
With the resignation of Otto Addo, the right-back is yet to play under new head coach, Chris Hughton but says he is keen to work with the former Brighton and Hove Albion manager again.
"The boys have been fantastic. The coaching staff, everyone involved has been welcoming to me and I am really enjoying my time," he told Joy Sports in an exclusive interview talking about his time with the team.
"We have a really good squad and we are looking forward to working hard and listening to what the coach has to say, improving and achieving our goals."
Tariq made his Black Stars debut before the start of the 2022 World Cup, featuring in the friendly game against Brazil in September last year.
Speaking on his World Cup experience the 22-year-old added: "You are always excited to play for your country no matter in the World Cup, in a friendly game. Obviously, the World Cup is special. You think about it when you are a little boy but when you join the team, you are always excited and looking forward to getting down to work."
"We have a great mixture in the team and we are looking forward to doing some good things going forward."
He went on to play against Switzerland before appearing at the Mundial against Portugal and South Korea.
