The Black Princesses of Ghana booked their place in the final of the 2023 WAFU Zone B Women's U-20 Cup of Nations following another emphatic win on Wednesday afternoon.
The Black Princesses came from a goal down to record a 3-1 win over Burkina Faso in the first semifinal game at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Burkina Faso took an early lead in the game when Ragnangnewende Djiguemde lobbed the ball over Ghana's goalkeeper, Afi Amenyeku, in the fifth minute.
But Yusif Basigi's side responded immediately through Stella Nyamekye, whose free-kick forced a hurler from the opposition goalkeeper to net the equaliser for Ghana.
The second goal came through Success Ameyaa who scored a belter from just outside the penalty box with 28 minutes played in the first half.
Ghana went into the break with a 2-1 lead and looked certain to add to their goals after the recess.
However, it was Burkina Faso who looked to be threatening and had an opportunity to level the score after they were awarded a penalty.
But Amenyeku stepped up her performance this time from the spot to deny the Burkina Faso captain, Alimata Belem, from drawing them level.
Three minutes after the penalty miss, it was Ghana's turn to attack and Faiza Seidu made no mistake inside the box as she scored her first goal in the tournament.
The game ended 3-1 with the Black Princesses advancing to the final of the competition where they will face the winner of the game between Nigeria and Benin.
Stella Nyamekye ended the game also with her second Player of the Match award for her stellar display.
