Bankroller of King Faisal FC, Alhaji Karim Grusah, has disclosed the fear of God stopped him from attacking members of the Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) Disciplinary Committee (DC) with a gun.
This was after the DC dismissed King Faisal FC's protest against Tamale City for allegedly fielding an unqualified player in their 2022/23 Ghana Premier League week 30 game.
Grusah’s club accused a player, Isaac Mensah, of double registration. However, the committee ruled that the Tamale City player was correctly registered.
The ruling has upset Alhaji Grusah, who claimed Isaac Mensah admitted in an interview he was registered twice.
“If I wasn't a religious person who fears God so much, I swear, I would have bought a gun and shot the disciplinary committee members for such a ruling,” he told Akoma FM, as quoted FootballGhana.com.
“The player in question had double identity. Same protest was filed against Skyy FC by Nations FC and they won it.
“The player himself through an interview even confirmed it. That alone should have won the case for us.”
King Faisal are battling for survival in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League; sitting second from the bottom with 36 points from 32 games, five points away from safety.
