A 35-year old man only identified as Emmanuel, has allegedly killed a one-and-half year-old boy at Adankwame in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region.
He's also said to have inflicted machete wounds on two others during the attack.
Emmanuel, who is also a landlord, was said to have attacked the boy, Samuel Amo, his father, Mr Obed Asamoah, and his elder sister, Bridgette Owusu, 19.
While the suspect is in police custody, it is not immediately clear what triggered the attack. However, some neighbours claim it had to do with the payment of rent.
The suspect was arrested by neighbours at his hideout a day after committing the crime on Saturday, May 6, 2023.
According to a police source at Adankwame, the suspect is assisting investigations.
