After saying goodbye to Ghana's first telenovela, Sparrow Production has returned with an all-new exciting show, Madam.
Madam follows a powerful woman, Lankai Morgan, who will do anything to not only gain power but protect her facade of being the best thing that ever happened to young women and girls.
Lankai Morgan played by Jocelyn Dumas through her NGO recruits poor girls under the guise of rehabilitation yet gives them out for sexual favour to politicians and big men she needs to keep in her pocket.
The show was written and directed by Shirley Frimpong-Manso, who brought Dede to the screens.
Speaking at the press launch, Shirley Frimpong-Manso said that for this drama she set out to write and direct a drama series many Ghanaians can enjoy
She revealed she brought back some actors from her first telenovela 'Dede' whom viewers loved and hoped to see again someday.
Shirley Frimpong-Manso noted that although working with a big cast for this drama, she was thankful to her team for joining her in pulling off the drama.
"I always say you have to love this job to actually do it and do it well. We are writing this story with a big cast with complex stories and it all has to nicely connect. It's madness but it is good madness," she said on Friday.
This gripping drama promises to be exciting as the characters bring to life the complex stories that make 'Madam'.
The show features Jocelyn Dumas, Salma Mumin, Habiba Sinare, Jasmine Baroudi, Lucky Lawson, Michael Katahena, Dean Amegashie, Adoma, Godwin Namboh and many others.
Madam premieres on Monday, May 8 at 8:00 pm on Akwaaba Magic only on DSTV or GOTV.
