Ajax interim head coach John Heitinga says Mohammed Kudus playing against PSV Eindhoven in the final of the 2023 Dutch Cup is not ruled.
The Ghanaian only returned to training earlier this week after missing the last two games for the club due to a hamstring injury.
The 22-year-old came off in the semi-final win over Feyenoord earlier this month and was forced to miss the last two games against Emmen and PSV in the Eredivisie.
Speaking during the press conference ahead of the game, Heitinga reveals they will still need to wait to make a decision on the player.
“Rensch and Kudus have [partly] joined the group training today. We will see how they react tomorrow and then take a final decision [for Sunday’s game]," he said.
Kudus has been involved in two goals in three appearances in the competition and will look to help his side win the trophy should he be involved on Sunday.
