Antoine Semenyo says he only cares about helping the team win games and pays little attention to being used as a starter or substitute with the Black Stars.
The 23-year-old came off the bench to score his second international goal as Ghana defeated Angola in their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Baba Yara Stadium on Thursday.
Semenyo reacted the quickest to a loose ball in the penalty area and smashed it into the net in the dying embers of the game as the Black Stars.
Since making his debut for the team against Madagascar last year, the forward is yet to start a game for Ghana but he says he cares less about how he is played as long as he is useful for the team.
“If I am not selected I make sure when am on the bench and am coming on, I make sure am ready I have warmed up well and I make sure am effective for the team," he said after netting the winner.
"I always want to be useful when am starting or on the bench as a goal scorer so am happy today."
Semenyo will hope his first competitive goal will earn him a place in the starting line-up when Ghana play Angola again in Luanda on Monday, March 27.
