The National Youth Organiser of the governing New Patriotic Party, Salam Mustapha, has charged the party’s youth to replicate the All Progressive Congress (APC)'s win in the Nigerian elections here in Ghana.
The youth leader, who is on a nationwide tour to touch base with the grassroots of the party, has been speaking to constituency youth organisers and youth groups.
According to him, the NPP can do what the APC has done in Nigeria - winning a 3rd term in office - and guaranteeing continuity in office. He explained that the APC won in Nigeria because they had very strong structures on the ground, which made it easy for campaign coordination ensuring that their message was sent to the farthest point of the country.
Salam Mustapha further opined that the NPP has the structures too, to exact another resounding victory for the party. He charged the youth to work tirelessly to secure a resounding victory for the NPP in the 2024 general elections.
'We have to show character, mental toughness, and work hard to win. The party is looking up to us, the youth and I know we can do it,” he said.
He explained that though the country is in difficult times, the government is working to find solutions to ease the pressure on Ghanaians.
“I know that we're in difficult times. However, the government is working to get us out of the woods. The NPP will make history in this country, and our names will be remembered for our gallantry.
He encouraged them to remain resolute, bold, and fearless in the discharge of their activities.
