A delegation led by Professor Agyeman Badu Akosa has met the Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) management to discuss the launch of its Masters program in Health and Safety.
The College also solicit ideas for collaboration with institutions that have inculcated Health and Safety in their line of operations.
Addressing Management during the visit, the Board Vice-Chairman of Ensign Global College explained that the programme is a professional and educational initiative in Health & Safety, which seeks to bridge safety gaps in all aspects of life.
Prof Akosa added that the programme will cover a broad range of areas, including, Occupational Safety; Community Safety; Food Safety; General Health and Safety, among others.
Professor Akosa also commended GRIDCo for diligently ensuring that safety consciousness remains a priority in its operations.
Ebenezer Kofi Essienyi, Chief Executive of GRIDCo commended the team from the College for taking such a significant initiative.
On behalf of the management he expressed the Company’s willingness to collaborate with the College for the benefit of the staff.
Florence Agyei, Director of Human Resources recommended the inclusion of Lifestyle and Wellbeing in the curriculum.
Richard Ntim, Director of Internal Audit, also commended the delegation for having such a brilliant vision, noting that the programme is worth taking advantage of.
Other Management staff who participated in the meeting were Ing. Mark Baah, Director of the Southern Network Department and Monica Senanu, Director of Legal.
Also present were Samuel Kow Acquah, Manager of Strategy Risk and Compliance, and Kojo Kwarteng, Special Assistant to the Chief Executive.
Other members of the delegation were, Emelia Ahadjie, Programmes Manager for Health & Safety and Patrick Umeh, Assistant Programmes Manager for Health & Safety.
