According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, the mortal remains of Ghana star Christian Atsu is set to arrive at the Kotoka International Airport on the evening of Sunday, February 19.
Joy Prime and Joy News will broadcast proceedings live from the airport from 19:30 GMT. It will also be streamed on the Facebook pages of both TV stations, as well as the JoySports page.

In a statement released earlier, the ministry confirmed arrangements made by the government for the reception of the body of the Ghana international.
Atsu, 31, was confirmed dead on Saturday, February 18, after being under rubble for 12 days following the earthquake in Turkey and Syria which has claimed more than 45,000 lives so far.
“The remains will be accompanied by his family and Ghana's Ambassador to Türkiye on a Turkish airlines flight and will arrive in Accra at 7:40 p.m. today Sunday, 19 February, 2023,” a ministry communique said.
“The remains will be received at the Kotoka International Airport by the family, the Ghana Football Association (GFA), and the Government upon its arrival from Istanbul, Türkiye,” it added.
Atsu’s last game came during Hatayspor’s league win over Kasimpasa in the Turkish top flight with the Ghanaian scoring a last-ditch free-kick to secure a 1-0 win.
Across some match centres in the English Premier League on Saturday, there were was a minute of applause to pay tribute to Atsu, who played for Newcastle United, Bournemouth and Everton after signing for Chelsea.
The Ghana Premier League also did same across its match centers across the nation.
