Black Sherif has bagged five nominations from Soundcity MVP Awards slated for February 11, 2023, in Lagos, Nigeria.
Since its inception in 2016, the Sound Music Video awards has been recognising excellence from hardworking talents in Africa.
The Konongo Zongo hitmaker was nominated in the Best New Artiste, Best Collaboration, Best Hip hop, Listeners Choice and Viewers Choice Awards respectively.
Burnaboy leads the nod with eight nominations with Rema and Asake receiving seven nominations.
While Costa Titch, Kidi, and Ayra Starr each received four nominations, as well as Camidoh and Omah Lay got five nominations.
It honours exceptional accomplishments of African musicians in 15 different music categories, including Best Male MVP, Best Female MVP, and African Artiste of the Year.The event is scheduled to hold on February 11 at Eko Convention Centre in Lagos.
