A viewer of Joy Prime named Yakubu, has requested help concerning difficulties in his sexual relationship with his wife.
Contributing to a conversation on Prime Morning on Joy Prime, Tuesday, concerning the screening process for cervical cancer and what to expect, Yakubu stated that he has been facing challenges with his wife during sexual intercourse.
According to the man, the wife has sought treatment several times, but no drug seems to be working for her; she pretends to moan to satisfy him.
"I just got married to my wife, and anytime we have sex, she tells me she doesn’t feel anything, but when I ask her why, she doesn’t give me any reason. And it’s when we’re having real sex, but when we’re having romance, she says she’s feeling something," Yakubu asked.
"She has attended the hospital before, and they gave her drugs, but it didn’t work because sometimes she’ll be moaning, but when I ask, she tells me she is just pretending. I’ve realized she doesn’t have a clitoris," he pointed out.
Addressing the issue on the show, Frederica Korankye, a Midwife at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, suggested that it could be due to the woman's low libido.
She also stated that he may be doing something that is not in the interest of the woman. She urged him to find out more about her ordeal.
Madam Frederica admonished Yakubu to engage in more conversation with his wife, as it may enable her to speak out.
"I think you really need to have a conversation with her. It’s possible you’re doing something she doesn’t like, or maybe you’re not doing exactly what she wants you to do. So just have a conversation with her and try to understand her," she said.
However, if it is the case that her clitoris has been removed, the midwife said "nothing can be done about it."
Yakubu is urged to be easy on his wife’s condition, as it is not her fault.
