Ghana international, Elisha Owusu, has completed a move to French side AJ Auxerre from Belgian side Gent.
The defensive midfielder signed a two-and-half-year deal with the newly-promoted side which will see him be at the club until 2025.
The Paris native, who came up via Lyon's youth programme, had been playing north of the border since 2019, joining the Flemish outfit from Les Gones after making 33 appearances while on loan at Sochaux in Ligue 2 the year before.
After making 126 appearances across all competitions, including European campaigns, and winning the Belgian cup last season, the midfielder has gone on to establish himself as one of the finest in the Jupiler League.
Owusu makes a career switch to join his national teammate Gideon Mensah. He joins Akim Zedadka, Matthis Abline, and Isaak Touré as the fourth players to join the relegation-threatened team this month on loans from Lille, Rennes, and Marseille, respectively.
