National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Organiser-elect, Joseph Yamin says the party has a stronger team ahead of the 2024 general elections.
The former Deputy Sports Minister is one of 7 candidates who sought to assume the role.
Mr Yamin said following the election of new officers emerging from the congress, the party is in a better position to win the 2024 election.
“I think that we have a strong team now and we’ll be able to move forward very strong, in fact, stronger than we use to be to win power 2024,” he said.
The NDC's 10th National Delegates Congress has come to an end with the results announced.
According to Electoral Commission, the former General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah is now the Chairman-elect of the party after a landslide victory.
Also, Fifi Kwetey takes over from Johnson Asiedu Nketia with a huge win as the general secretary after a race with Dr. Peter Boamah Otokunor and Elvis Afriyie Ankrah.
Unlike during the election of the party’s women and youth organizers, the delegate election congress has been carried out devoid of any sort of violence.
The NDC will now look forward to defeating delegates of the New Patriotic Party in the upcoming 2024 election.
