Nigerian Afrobeat singer Asake is one of the country’s hottest artiste and his concerts have proved to be fan-favourites.
However, on Thursday about 10 fans were injured after a suspected crush at one of the concerts held at the 02 Academy in Brixton, London.
According to the Metropolitan Police, they received reports at about 9:35pm (local time) that some people had been injured after a large crowd attempted to gain entry without tickets.
The police said they found “a number of people with injuries believed to have been caused by crushing” when officers, ambulance crews and firefighters arrived at the venue.
Eight people were taken by ambulance to the hospital, four of whom remain in critical condition, the police added. London Ambulance Service treated two other less seriously injured people at the scene.

Daily Mail also reported that scores of valid ticket holders and those attempting an unauthorised entry were locked outside the venue.
Videos that have gone viral show scores of fans attempting to enter the venue to see Asake.

But, the concert was cancelled just ten minutes after Asake appeared to perform.
Meanwhile, The Metropolitan Police Gold Commander, Ade Adelekan described the incident as “extremely upsetting.”
"A police investigation has been launched, and it will be as thorough and as forensic as necessary to establish exactly what happened last night. The scene will be examined by specialist officers, CCTV will be viewed, every witness that we can make contact with will be spoken to and all other lines of enquiry will be followed."
Police said they would also investigate how officers treated the crowd.
Adelekan said officers who use force “know they have to be accountable for their actions” and added that officers’ body-worn video footage would be studied as part of the investigation into the incident.
