Afrobeat star, Wizkid, has opened up on why he failed to show up at the Wizkid Live In Ghana concert.
According to him, safety and production issues prevented him from gracing the stage mounted at the Accra Sports Stadium on December 10, to put on a “high quality” show for fans.
In a press release on Sunday, Wizkid wrote “please understand that every decision I made co-sided with honouring my fans, and would only make a drastic decision like this because it was the right thing to do and I had to.”
The Ojuelegba hitmaker added that he would never do anything that damages his brand noting “I was charged up, looking forward to doing this show.”
He apologised to fans assuring them that he and his team are working to put on another show for fans.
The Nigerian singer was supposed to perform at a live concert at Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, 10th December 2022.
However, despite the massive turn-up of fans, the afrobeat singer failed to show up at the concert. This made most of his fans disappointed.
Meanwhile, organisers Live Hub entertainment, in a statement said the artiste breached a contractual agreement for failing to show up at the concert.
They, however, assured Live Hub entertainment assured patrons of a full refund.
