Patrons who attended the revitalized landmark Hitz Skuuls Reunion event were spoilt for choice.
Pivoted by a giant stage setup at the El-Wak Sports Stadium, old students from schools across the country converged in elation.
For some, it was about reconnecting with long-time acquaintances but others were set to battle it out for the bragging rights. Which better way to earn this accolade than an old fashion ‘gari soakings’ face-off?
Other contests at the return of Ghana’s biggest outdoor party were football, arm wrestling, checkers and rap battles, etc.
The fierce arm wrestling competition was between Hitz FM and Joy FM personalities.
There was also a skating display and quizzes about general knowledge which pushed competitors to create an exciting euphoria for patrons who were at the edge of their seats vouching for the victory of their favorite contestor.
Exhibitors also mounted stands and interacted with clients on the sidelines.
Saturday’s event came off after many years of repackaging with a resolve to bring back memories from high school days in a more fun manner.
Indeed, the day was filled with a cocktail of activities. But sundown came with a showdown.
Music stars including Kuami Eugene, Keche and Eno Barony graced the stage with exciting performances.
.@djwallpaperghʼs job is simple. All he has to do is play the songs —and the crowd, sing! @kuamieugeneʼs hits? Itʼs plenty!!! #HitzSkuulsReunion pic.twitter.com/BSWxX071fs

They took turns to treat the audience to a great set of songs to which many sang along.
It was a buffet for all. One of the attendees told Myjoyonline.com that: “I could not wait for the party to come back.”
“The last one was fun for me and my friends and I was hoping for another opportunity. But now that it is back, I feel like it was never on break in the first place,” she added before running off to join her friends cheer on some musicians in the rap contest.
Her sentiment was widespread. The hundreds of former students and partners who turned up are very expectant of another edition next year.
After a five-year break, the programme is now spearheaded by Hitz FM, a sister brand of Joy FM, with the support of all the brands from the Multimedia Group.
