Ex-skipper of the Black Stars and former Juventus midfielder, Stephen “Tornado” Appiah, who announced his retirement from competitive football not too long ago and has hinted at a likely testimonial match in an interview with sportscrusader.com, but expects a massive turn out at February’s Accra Works Out.
Appiah opined that, regular exercise is key to healthy living. “A healthy mind resides in a healthy body and before we can enjoy the wealth we all aspire for, we must first be healthy.”
“I’m expecting more people from the corporate world as well as more icons to turn up at this month’s workout, it will be fun.”
He commended the organizers for maintaining the consistency and improving the structure of the aerobic sessions.
“I must commend Primeval Media for this initiative, I got attracted to and have been part of the workout since last year, due to the packaging of sessions, and I must admit that, I’ve enjoyed each session since I joined.”
Accra Works Out comes off this Saturday, February 28, from 7am to 9am on the Multi-purpose court of the Accra sports stadium.
