Black Stars goalkeepers’ trainer, Richard Kingson, says he aims to help the Black Stars reach the semi-final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The former Ghana captain was a key member of the Black Stars’ team that became only the third African nation to reach the last eight of the World Cup in 2010, and the 44-year-old is now targeting history in Qatar as a technical team member.
“We all have different feelings and different dimensions, you know, but me personally I have belief in the team,” Kingston, who was Ghana’s number one at the 2006 and 2010 World Cups, said.
“I cannot assure you that we are going to win the trophy, but I am hoping that we will go more than the quarterfinals, so that I Richard Kingston, as the goalkeepers’ trainer, can set a new record.”
Ghana will open their campaign at the World Cup against Portugal on November 24 before coming up against South Korea four days later and Uruguay on December 2.
