Jeffery Schlupp, Salis Abdul Samed, Samuel Owusu and Majeed Asimeru have all been included in the Black Stars provisional 55-man squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The quartet are among a host of other players including Bayer Leverkusen forward Callum Hudson-Odoi, who are part of the technical team's pre-tournament squad as the tournament edges closer.
Schlupp last played for Ghana during the World Cup qualifier game against Ethiopia in September 2021, with the Black Stars claiming a 1-0 victory. Since then, the in-form midfielder has been out of the team citing personal reasons.
However, after the Ghana Football Association and the technical team's talks with the player and his entourage, he is set to make a return to the national team.
In what may seem not a surprising inclusion, Hudson-Odoi could represent the Black Stars in Qatar as he is also named in Ghana's provisional squad. The winger has been a target for Ghana for some time now and could finally be part of the team.
Following his stunning start to the 2022/23 season after joining Lens in the summer, Salis is also named in the squad. He had already revealed his availability to play for the national team in an interview with Joy Sports last month.
Samuel Owusu, who plays in the Serbian league and Anderlecht's Ashimeru are both in the provisional squad which is set to be submitted by the Black Stars.
The list also includes all players called up for the last international break where the Black Stars faced Brazil and Nicaragua.
