The ambulance allocated to the Sefwi Bodi District has knocked down a 40-year-old man in the Sefwi Wiawso municipality of the Western North Region.
The man died as a result of the accident.
The ambulance with the registration number GV 21-20 was travelling from the Sefwi Bekwai direction to Sefwi Bodi.
At the time, the victim, Kwasi Asiamah was also crossing the road in the opposite direction.
Unfortunately, the ambulance knocked him down, killing him on the spot.
One of the eyewitnesses said, "we heard the ambulance's sirene blurring."
"We later heard a loud bang and we ran out to see what happened. At the scene, we found that his head had been smashed," the lady told Adom News.
The body has since been deposited at the Wiawso Government Hospital morgue by the Sefwi Wiawso Police Command.
