Two-time winners of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) Mfantsipim School fought for a place at the one-eighth stage of this year’s competition.
The Kwabotwe boys faced competition from West Africa SHS and Sandema SHS in the KNUST auditorium.
Ahead of the contest, some members of the Mfantsipim Old Boys Association (MOBA) said this is their year to lift the trophy.
“We are reclaiming our heritage, what is rightfully ours, we need to reinstate our supremacy for people to get to understand and appreciate that we are Mfantsipim and it is the only school in Ghana; forget about the others," they said.
