A 55-year-old man has died in the Tetegu floods. His body was retrieved from the receded flood waters on Thursday.
Addi Kwashie who was a truck pusher was found in his room trapped between his bed and sofa.
According to the Daily Graphic, the man had not been spotted since the flooding.
Residents reported to the Police who help in retrieving the body, which has now been deposited at the morgue.
Meanwhile, the residents who were displaced as a result of the flood have begun returning home.
The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) has assured them that it is safe for them to go back.
However, it has cautioned that there could be further flooding if appropriate measures are not put in place since the water company is still having to spill water.
The residents have had to deal with days of flooding with schools, hospitals and other public service institutions shut down while several persons have been displaced.
Currently, they are counting their losses due to the extent of devastation caused by the unfortunate incident.
The recession of the flood waters could be attributed to the opening of the Weija estuary and the reduction in the volume of water from the Eastern Region into the Weija Dam.
