Ensign Global College held its matriculation ceremony for the 2022/23 cohort of students.
The occasion served as an attestation that the new students have qualified to pursue their studies at Ensign Global College formally.
In his traditional welcome address to the matriculants, Professor Stephen C. Alder, President of Ensign Global College, encouraged students to take advantage of the many opportunities that exist on campus.
He applauded the group of students for making the decision to study at Ensign Global, “I wish to congratulate you all for successfully going through our highly competitive admission processes.
The journey will be long, it will be challenging, but it will be satisfying.” President Alder challenged the new cohort to embrace the practice of respect, kindness, and graciousness, for those are all parts of what makes them “Ensonians”.
He emphasized the importance of gaining all they can serve as students so that they will be prepared to have a positive impact on the world once they have completed their academic journey.
The ceremony took place in the auditorium on campus, where 23 students took the matriculation oath.
Patrick Kuma, Ensign Global College Registrar, administered the matriculation oath to the students, signalling their formal induction into the college.
Mr Kuma urged the new students to view their matriculation as a journey; a process to develop themselves to impact lives.
Ocran Lucas Odoom, a matriculating class representative, urged his colleagues to embrace a spirit of belief in their ability to succeed and make the most of their time at Ensign Global.
Ensign Global College currently offers a Master of Public Health degree that is an applicant for accreditation by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH).
This will make it the first institution on the continent of Africa to be accredited. In addition to the accreditation process, the college is partnering with the University of Utah to expand offerings in the near future of a Master of Healthcare Management and Master of Business Creation.
