Ghana’s High Commissioner to Malta, Barbara Akuokor Benisa, has joined well-wishers and sympathisers around the world to commiserate with the British Royal family and the British people following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
In a short message of condolence, she described the late Queen as a “remarkable woman” who has dedicated many years of her life to serve her country.
“The world admired her wisdom and courage and her ability to make balanced decisions,” she said.
“The people of Ghana and on my own behalf our thoughts and prayers are with the Royal family especially. And the government and people of United Kingdom,” she added.
Queen Elizabeth II died on the 8th of September, 2022 at the ripe age of 96.
She had spent 70 years and 214 days on the British throne. She is the longest serving British monarch and the second-longest recorded of any monarch of a sovereign nation.
She is succeeded by her son, Charles.
