Samartex have announced the signing of midfielder, Frederick Ansah Botchway, from Accra Hearts of Oak ahead of the start of the 2022/23 football season.
The hardworking midfielder has penned a two-year deal with the Timber Giants which will see him stay at the club until the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
Botchway was released by Hearts after they deemed him 'surplus to requirements' but he was eventually called back. The club said the player will train with them until he finds a new club.
Samartex have now moved quickly to acquire his services as they target staying in the Premier League beyond just a season.
Botchway is Samartex's eighth signing, joining former Hearts of Oak defender Larry Sumaila Ibrahim, Richard Baidoo, Kofi Baah, Emmanuel Acquah, Emmanuel Keyekeh, Gabriel Bonnah, and Seidu Abubakar.
