The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) says it will continue to invest in robust infrastructure to ensure that the database it built as a result of the many reforms are secured for the future.
According to the Head of Public Affairs, Francis Tuffuor, the agency is embarking on more reforms to safeguard the country’s data.
He spoke to Joy Business after the Chief Executive, Kwesi Agyemang Busia received an award as one of the most 100 influential Business Leadership Personalities in Ghana.
The various reforms at the DVLA is geared towards having an efficient service delivery to the satisfaction of the general public.
According to the authority, it has been able to secure robust infrastructure which will support in introducing more reforms and ensuring a smooth modernisation of operations.
Mr. Tuffuor assured that more work is being done to ensure that customers are served seamlessly at the various centres.
He also indicated that the Authority is in constant talks with the various data collection agencies to ensure a clean data taking into consideration, the various data protection laws and policies of the country.
“We are part of the digitalisation process and supporting heavily to ensure it’s a success and if you can remember, we introduced a lot of reforms to ensure that the data is clean and safe as well.
We will continue to invest in robust technology and make use of modern technology to make the reforms sustainable”.
Speaking on governance and leadership in the country, Advisor at the Volta River Authority Dr. Stella Agyenim Boateng advised heads of institutions to use scientific data to innovate in fighting global challenges like the covid 19.
Other award winners of the night include the Food and Drugs Authority, E-crime Bureau and Truck services provider J.A Plantpool among others.
