Tranz Global Service, an international courier service, has assured Ghanaians of safe affordable charter flights from Accra to London with their new service.
Speaking at the launch of its airline - Voyager International Airlines - its Chief Executive, Thomas Coleman, promised that despite the increasing challenges facing British airlines, his outfit would ensure a good travelling experience at competitive prices.
“First it’s going to be competitive pricing. There’s not a lot of direct flights, there’s only one between London and Accra and the price point now is about $4,000. So we’re around $2500 for that particular round so that’s a big saver on time and money.”
“We’re a capitalist company, so we’re doing this for profit. But we’re not a joint company where we’re trying to make massive profit. So we can cut down our profit to increase the number of baggage handlers.”
Meanwhile, the Chief Executive of the Ghana Tourism Development Company, Kwadwo Odame Antwi referred to the launch as timely due to the programmes lined up ahead of December 2022.
“With tourists coming through our airports, it's important that we position ourselves and that we are ready. Tourism contributes $4 billion to the country's Gross Domestic Product in two years. We hoping to get that with two million people visiting the country annually.”
“So this could not have happened at any better time. As people travel, they want to travel in style and comfort. As you are coming to Ghana, travel through Voyager International Airlines,” he said.
Tranz Global Service is partnering with Numero Un, a travel consultant, on this project.
