Evelyn Nsiah Asare, CEO of Hasaacas Ladies, has revealed the club is yet to receive payment from CAF for their second-place finish in the maiden edition of the Women's Champions League.
Last year, Hassacas Ladies reached the finals of the inaugural CAF Women's Champions League, which was held in Egypt.
In an exclusive interview with Joy Sports, the seasoned administrator revealed that all efforts to obtain the money had proven futile months after the tournament.
"It will interest you to know that ever since we came from the Champions League, we have not been paid by CAF. We want to plead through your medium that at least we did it last year and they are about to organize this year's one. So once they have mentioned the names and packages for the national teams who are participating in Morocco right now, we believed that by the end of the tournament they would've reached out to us to tell us how much we are going to get" she told joy sports.
She added, "When we came back we wrote to the FA to reach out to CAF to know how much we will be receiving. CAF wrote back to us requesting for our bank details. We did that and it's been four months now. It is money that we used to compete in Africa. It was not easy even at the WAFU level.
"The money we used for the preparation and participation was not easy. So I am shocked that up till now we haven't heard from CAF. It is so sad, so CAF should do something. We really need that money to beef up our squad."
In the 2020/21 season, Hasaacas Ladies dominated the local scene, winning both the Women's Premier League and the FA Cup.
They also won the WAFU B tournament before finishing second in the first CAF Women's Champions League, losing to Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa.
