JoyNews’ The Law today held a conversation on the legal education system in the country.
Legal education in Ghana begins with a bachelor of laws (LL. B), which can be obtained as an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a Law school.
A holder of LLB is then required to pursue a professional law course at the Ghana School of Law located at Makola in the central business district.
Recently, the Ghana School of Law came under huge criticism following the failure of some 499 students who sat for the entrance exams months back.
Which brings us to the question - what is happening to legal education in Ghana?
The guest for today’s discussion on The Law, was the Director of Ghana School of Law, Yaw D. Oppong.
