JoySports George Addo Jnr and Muftawu Nabila Abdulai will be covering the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Oregon, USA.
For Addo Jnr, this will be his third consecutive Championships coverage, while Nabila is at his first.
The coverage is this year under the Joy Sports campaign called 'Gold Chase', which is aimed at pushing Ghana’s Athletics agenda.
Aside the grand launch of the project on the 10th of May, the second edition of the main show on Joynews saw former National 100m & 200m record-holders – Leo Myles Mils and Emmanuel Tuffour alongside current Long Jump record holder Ignatius Gaisah join in on previewing the 2022 world athletics championships and motivating the current athletes ahead of a big showdown between the 15th and 24th of July.
Joy Sports has taken a keen interest in competitions involving Ghanaian athletes – from covering the just ended to NCAA competitions and the Athletics Senior Championships in Mauritius, the Diamond Leagues in Oslo and Paris and now the upcoming World’s which will see seven Ghanaians compete in Oregon.
Having already covered the 2017, and 2019 World Championships in London and Doha, Addo Jnr will bring lead the Joy Sports exclusive coverage of Team Ghana, Team Africa and the entire 10-day championship in Eugene.
