Highlife musician, KK Fosu, says it is a shameful practice for people to venture into politics because of money.
In an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, the singer who hails from the Eastern part of Ghana said that he is ready to change that narrative, hence his decision to enter into politics.
“Any politician who decides to enter politics because of money should bow their heads in shame. I am all about the Ghana first agenda,” he said.
According to him, he aims to be the voice of the poor and needy in the Akuapem North municipality.
He, however, stated that he does not want to achieve his dream under the ticket of any of the existing political parties.
“I want to be neutral, I don’t want to do it under any party. When you are under them they decide for you and I don’t want that. It will be difficult but I will make it happen.”
KK Fosu believes that his intentions to enter politics will send a message to people in power concerning how serious the hardship in the country has become.
“For a musician like me to want to enter politics that should tell them that times are hard.”
If KK Fosu pulls through with his plans to run as MP, how the likes of John Dumelo, Fritz Baffour, Mark Okraku Mantey, Dzifa Gomashie and a few others who moved from being entertainers to politicians.
